More About DCP
My association with DCP is about two years old. During this time the nurturing and attention that I have received from some of the top wildlife photo artists and photo journalists has been an unparalleled experience. The warmth of 'family' along with the professional approach to wildlife education is a heady cocktail that has me coming back for more and more. Eventually, as a result of the extensive mentorship received through DCP, I have seen my work getting escalated to the next level and am on the cusp of being a serious amateur photographer. Kudos to the team. It is a matter of great pride for me to be closely associated with what DCP stands for.

Though I purchased my 1st DSLR in March-2013 the real fun began only after I acquired the basics from Caesar Sir.The mania and the madness started on 29/10/13 at 9.00 am – event - Basic Photography Workshop by Dr Caesar Sengupta. During the interactive session, I raised a question – Why the photographs clicked in the evening with dull light have a blue cast and do those clicked indoor have a yellow-orange cast? And then came the answer – you need to adjust “White Balance” and understand the concept of Color Temperature to avoid such casts.Ever since then there was no looking back. Overzealous and motivated I joined DCP photo walks, the skippers/team leaders understand the essence of photography and protect the green. The weekly photo walks and timely e-tutorials by Dr Caesar which explains the perspective of shooting, “how to--when to--when not to—and how best” incite the thought process and proves vital in the field.

DCP is the first institution that I know of that's offering a course in wildlife photography. The faculty is a group of dedicated experts who love to share their knowledge without holding back. The teaching staff put their life and soul in passing on their knowledge to the students. The few times that I have been with them has made me feel like a member of the 'family'. Everyone at DCP is warm-hearted, caring, and sincere. I wish them all the very best in their every endeavor.

DCP for me has been a welcome boon. I was always an avid traveler who captured those wonderful moments through my point & shoot. It was only when I joined DCP for its wildlife & macro workshop in 2013 (3rd batch) did I realize that there is more to photography then just point & shoot. Its an art of making images, making your dreams come true through your images. Whatever I have learnt about photography is thanks to the mentors of DCP. They always keep pushing you to your limit for giving out your best. At DCP I have met & made friends with some wonderful nature lovers who also are wonderful photographers. Its been a learning experience which will continue for a long time to come. Wishing DCP all the best for its future endevour and yes a lovely new website.

I was a student of DCP's first batch of Wildlife Photography Complete Learning Course (WPCLC), and those 8 weeks really changed the way I looked at Wildlife Photography. It gave me insights of making of best Wildlife Images. The course content was awesome and so are the DCP Experts we have in our panel. Selflessly sharing the knowledge they possess of Camera and wildlife, without holding anything back. Since then it has been an awesome Journey and have grown leaps and bounds within a short span of time. Standing on higher pedestal today, I would really like to thank the DCP group for giving everyone this tremendous opportunity for helping us grow our Photography, Knowledge and People skills.

I am glad that I am associated with such a talented group of people and I wish to thank Dr Caesar and the entire team of mentors for giving us this. Always ready to share knowledge, always approachable, any hour of the day. My gratitude for the super talented mentors like Yuwaraj Gurjar and Amit Rane, who can change your skillsets sky high. Joining DCP has helped me unearth my passion for photography amidst layers of corporate commitments. DCP Team takes you through an exciting learning curve over 8 weeks under their Complete Wildlife Learning Course. The mentors not only guide you by critically analyzing your work and appreciating smallest of your feats, but also help you present your work before the world through best possible platforms. DCP is in fact amongst India’s first few photography academies to focus solely on “Wild life photography”. It's unique blend of conservation programs & photography expeditions provide an amazing opportunity for amateurs to develop their skill sets and take their passion to the next level.

I have been interested in photography as a hobby right from childhood. My first camera was a second-hand 33 mm film camera purchased from "chorbazaar". My hobby could never be taken to a serious level because proper guidance and opportunity to test my skills was missing for me. DCP filled this gap for me in recent times. I started my interaction with DCP by attending a one-day course for beginners. This was soon followed by weekends spent shooting crocodiles in Maldoli, flowers in Kaas, star trails in Malshej, birds in Jamnagar and so forth. I now look forward to spending every available Sunday with DCP doing photo walks in and around Mumbai. Regular interactions with DCPians - both experts as well as learners like me - has resulted in a much deeper understanding of photography and a high level of respect for nature and environment. When I look back at some of the fondest memories of past months, many of them are the times I have spent with DCP.

During the beginning of 2013, I enrolled on DCP’s first batch of Wild Life Photography Learning Course. I had attended just for curiosity but after that wonderful experience, I fell in love with wildlife photography and still then, the love has been growing in many folds by keeping connected with DCP. I believe DCP has become one of the leading wildlife photography and expedition company within a very short span of time. The Key benefits of being with DCP is 1) Tremendous opportunities to learn for beginners 2) Continuous learning and teaching from various Masters, who are having extensive experience and knowledge in a specific area of wildlife photography 3) Regular national and international expeditions to cover diversified wild life flora and fauna with specialized master to provide in-field technical knowledge 4) Online platform to upload images for critical and technical advice to improve the performance. I am very happy to be a part of this ever-growing team.

Change is the only constant. However, the other constant that I have seen is the enthusiasm, zeal and genuine approach of Team DCP in spreading love and awareness of wild life conservation in general and wild life photography in particular. The simplistic approach and down to earth nature of the team members makes it a pleasure to be associated with the group, and learning becomes fun. It has been an upward learning curve being a part of DCP Expeditions.

Last year fortunately I came across DCP’s webpage and was just thrilled to know that in Mumbai someone is taking great efforts to show the wild side of Mumbai to Mumbaikars. As my 13 years old son Pradyuman was interested in wildlife photography, I decided to send him with DCP for a photowalk. From that day he learnt an important lesson in life - “Be Down To Earth”. He attended Astrophotography workshop and then Bharatpur workshop with raptor man Kiran Poonacha and Caesar sir. As a mother of a teenager there was always a worry of sending him with strangers but whenever I spoke to any DCP team leaders I never felt that way atall. I still remember Sonal Patil said “Don’t worry Pradyuman is going with his family” and that meant lot to me. After Bharatpur workshop my son became so close to all the mentors, it was a memorable trip for his life. I really thank DCP who not only take efforts before the workshop, during the workshop but even after the workshop.

DCP has helped me learn lots about wildlife and wildlife photography. Macro photography was almost handheld taught to me by the experts. Birding and Mammal photography has also received an impetus after joining the group. Constant feedback on my pictures(even those shot outside the workshop) is very helpful for amateurs and masters alike.
