About The Photo Walk

DCP Weekend Photowalks is an innovative concept, one of the flagship products of DCP Expeditions. It started in 2013 with an objective to help the citizens know the still surviving greener patches in and around their cities and towns. This unique concept was appreciated and acknowledged across the nation. We received immense motivation in exchange of putting our heart and soul for it. Today the concept has got immensely popular and parallel photo walks keep happening in multiple cities and towns all across the nation at a time and also beyond the country borders.

Kane Lew

Masterclass Mentor And Head - Creative Photography

Kane Lew, one of the finest artists in the DCP panel of experts. He is an arts graduate from Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai, and is a commercial photographer. Kane is an experienced photographer and has travelled extensively across Indian geography for several years. He has brilliant photography skills and technical knowledge in all genres of photography with a special interest in wildlife photography. He is known for his innovations and his capability of giving shape to imaginations. He has a great teaching acumen. Apart from his love for art, sculpture and music, he is a skilled trainer, trekker and a biodiversity expert. He is a Masterclass Mentor in the panel and Head of Creative Photography Division, Team DCP.

It is a local event in Mumbai. However, if you are on a passing visit to Mumbai, you are most welcome to join the group. Connect with our admin team for any logistics coordination.

Getting Ready

Things to carry:

Your camera (Any camera of any make is fine)
Carry fully charged batteries for your camera / flash
Carry backup memory cards in case you run short of space
This involves considerable walking, physical fitness is essential
Carry your personal medications if you are on medication
Carry a water bottle, hat and some dry snacks / chocolates
Carry Odomos to keep you protected from mosquito bites
Carry a pair of good binoculars
Wear dull colored clothes, avoid bright colors
Smoking during the walk is strictly prohibited
Wearing masks is mandatory.
Social distancing needs to be followed.

DCP weekend photo walks act not only as an avenue for the budding wildlife photography enthusiasts to explore and refine their photography skills but also is an excellent medium for documentation of the biodiversity in and around the city life. No. DSLR is not compulsory. You may join with your smart phone also.
