About The Tour

Discover and experience Culture – Architecture – Mythology – History – Holy River Ganga - Arts & Crafts – Ethnic groups – Spiritualism – Customs & Rituals in the culture capital of India, VARANASI. Varanasi, the oldest city of the world is more than 3000 years old and it is known for temples, spiritualism, rituals, culture and deep rooted Indian traditions. This holy city, situated on the banks of river Ganga is also called as Benaras and Kashi, the city of Moksha for Hindus. In Hinduism, it is the belief that those who die and are cremated here get a pathway to liberation from the cycle of re-births. There is a touch of varansi in the lives of great personalities like Tulsi Das, Shankaracharaya, Mahavira and Guatama Buddha.

The words of Mark Twain, "Varanasi is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, and looks twice as old as all of them put together”. The best opportunity for the photo freaks; This workshop is specially crafted to give a memorable experience for the participants to feel and capture the images of various ghats, embankments where ritual ablutions are performed, streets, temples and the rich culture, which is not witnessed anywhere else in the world. The participants will have a life time experience to come back with striking and dazzling images of this cultural capital of India.

Dev Deepawali is celebrated two weeks after Deepawali, on the evening of Karthik Poornima. It is a magnificent display of lamps along the line of steps leading to Ganga. The long line of oil lamps along the bank of Ganga and fireworks lighting up the sky all add up to a magical atmosphere of Dev Deepawali. It is an experience you will not forget. Join the team this year for an amazing photographic experience.
