Getting Ready

Things to carry:

  • Your DSLR Camera/s
  • Wide angle lens like – 10-18mm, 11-16mm, 12-24mm, 14 mm, 16-35mm, 18-55mm, 24-70mm
  • Tripod not required.
  • Carry Extra pack of batteries.
  • Wired/wireless remote trigger, if camera has 2 sec delay option, then also fine.
  • Carry backup memory cards. Laptop is optional.
  • There will be small walk on beaches so we advise to wear non-slippery foot wear.
  • Carry basic first aid kit, carry your regular medicine. Carry mosquito repellent creams.
  • Drinking water/eatables.
  • Walk: Moderate
  • Hill/Mountain climbing: Moderate

Itinerary

  • Reach Srinagar by 1 pm maximum.
  • Lunch and rest at the accommodation.
  • Afternoon: Nishad Bag visit
  • Late afternoon: Go on a boat to shoot the enchanting sunset over Dal Lake.
  • Wake up at 5 am to capture the serene morning light in Sonmarg, surrounded by stunning landscapes.
  • Explore and photograph the breath-taking vistas all day.
  • Return to the accommodation for a group discussion and critique session.
  • Wakeup at 4:30 and leave for Gulmarg at 5:30, known for its captivating meadows and snow-capped peaks.
  • Enjoy a full day of photography and immerse yourself in the beauty of Gulmarg.
  • Visit Tulip Garden (if open, expected to open on 19th March this year)
  • Dinner at Srinagar
  • Wake up at 4 am for an early visit to the floating vegetable market, an excellent opportunity for street and documentary photography.
  • Return to the accommodation for breakfast and checkout.
  • Departure: Drop-off at Srinagar Airport by 11 am.

  7. Mastering auto focus, focusing points, AF locking and focus tracking for moving subjects
  8. Framing and composition in the field
