The shade below the huge fig tree is a lovely place to idle time at Old Magazine house. One can sit here for hours sipping coffee and enjoying the colored feathered beauties. Enjoy birding with a cup of hot coffee. As the darkness sets in, the group discussion, fun and jokes over an enjoyable camp fire keeps the evening alive. Join the group for a delicious dinner on the terrace.

Wake up early in the morning listening to the call of the Malabar Pied hornbill calling from within the campus or may be the elusive Malabar Trogon pair calling from the canopy behind the resort. We will be going to the Timber Trail Depot today for bird photography. Come back to the resort and join the breakfast. Keep your camera always with you when you are in Ganeshgudi. There are high chances that you may get unbelievably close pictures of Golden fronted leaf birds, purple sun birds or Purple rumped sunbirds at your eye level while enjoying your breakfast. Come back to the camp site for lunch, take some rest and get ready for the evening birding.

The night within the campus is thrilling. Spend the evening chatting over the bon fire and the join the dinner. Malabar flying squirrel regularly visits the fig tree and if you are lucky, you may witness the magnificent glide of this amazing creature in the darkness of the forest canopy.

The Old magazine house, a JLR resort is a rustic, weather beaten setup in the deep woods, an ideal place for bird watchers. The silence of the night is intermittently broken by the cries of the wild.
