Mevan Piyasena, a Biodiversity expert and a renowned freelance naturalist based in Sri Lanka and carries with him an extensive on field experience in the dense forests of Sri Lanka. His love for Wildlife and Wildlife Photography is well known across continents. He is a Wildlife management and conservation certificate holder from the Open University of Sri Lanka. Mevan is also an active Life member of FOGSL – Field Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka (Birdlife international) , member of YZA - Young Zoologists’ Association of Sri Lanka and member of The National trust. Mevan specialities in leopard safaris, Whale watching (Blue and Sperm Whales) and on 33 endemic birds in Sri Lanka.
